The spicy, intensely flavoured WEBER Hickory wood chips are suitable for smokehouses, gas, charcoal or electric grills.
WEBER Hickory wood chips should be soaked in water before smoking. According to the manufacturer's instructions, the soaking time should be half an hour, but we recommend leaving the chips soaked overnight. Why? To prevent the chips from burning too quickly during smoking and to allow the aroma to develop slowly but surely.
Once soaked, the chips can be placed directly on the coals or embers. If you have a gas grill, a cylinder or a cast-iron charcoal and chip tray will be useful for smoking.
